What We Do
We deliver free, community-based programmes for young people across London. From mentoring and sport to therapy, education and employment, our programmes support young people to develop skills, improve wellbeing and provide real opportunities to grow.
By working directly in communities, we make it easy for young people to get involved, meet new people and take positive steps towards a brighter future.
Our Programmes
Our programmes are built around a specialist, evidence-informed approach to supporting young people affected by serious youth violence, criminal exploitation and complex social challenges.
We recognise that these challenges are often driven by overlapping factors such as trauma, exclusion and limited access to opportunities. In response, we deliver early, targeted and long-term support through a coordinated model combining mentoring, outreach, therapeutic support and pathways into education, employment and life skills.
Our work is grounded in relationship-based practice and informed by models such as AMBIT, enabling us to build trust, understand behaviour and support young people to make safer, more positive choices. We take a trauma-informed, intelligence-led approach working closely with schools, families and partner agencies to identify risk early and deliver joined-up support.
All of our programmes are free and delivered within the communities we serve.
Find out more about our programmes below.
Mentoring
Our specialist mentoring supports young people at risk of violence, exploitation and offending. Using structured plans, risk assessments and consistent one-to-one support, mentors help young people navigate challenges, build resilience and make safer, more positive choices.
Sport/Community
Our sports programmes use physical activity as a powerful engagement tool to build trust, develop discipline and strengthen social and emotional skills. Through regular sessions in boxing, yoga and martial arts, young people access safe spaces where they can build confidence, learn new skills and engage positively with peers and mentors.
Therapy
We provide trauma-informed therapeutic support for young people and families experiencing complex challenges. This includes systemic family therapy and Box Therapy, helping young people process experiences, improve emotional wellbeing and strengthen relationships.
Employment
Our employability programmes help young people develop skills, confidence and real-world experience.Through training, placements and partnerships with organisations across London, we support young people to access sustainable pathways into work and independence.
Education
We support young people to re-engage with education through one-to-one support and group-based programmes within schools and alternative provisions. We also provide learning opportunities and training for professionals to strengthen support systems around young people.

"Before coming to Be Inspired, I was spending most of my time on the street with no real direction. The community sessions have given me somewhere positive to go and have helped me stay fit. I am now competing in Jiu Jitsu competitions - something I never thought I'd be doing."
"Before I started with Be Inspired, I felt lost and unsure about my future. They’ve helped me find confidence in myself, focus on my goals, and stay away from the negative influences around me.
Be Inspired hasn’t just changed my life, it’s given me the strength to help others, too."
"I've been coming to Be Inspired since I was 13. I've learned life-long skills, met great people, and ultimately I wouldn't be the person I am today without them."
"Without Be Inspired I would not be the person I am today. When I first came to them I was quite timid, quite quiet, but now I've grown into a sociable person. I can't thank everyone enough at Be Inspired for changing my life."
